To Delay or Not To Delay

Kirby needed to go back to his roots. Nintendo realized that too!

Is it better for a game to be created for one system and then at the last minute, have it bumped to the newer hardware. Would the new Pikmin game have been better off being on the Wii or have it made for Wii and then delayed because it's going to be a game for the Wii-U? The same with Kirby Wii. Would this have been better off being the Kirby game that was going to be made for Gamecube, years ago or made and then modified for the Wii. In one way it gives game designers more time to make the game just right and tweak minor things. At the same time, fans never like to hear that a game is going to be delayed for whatever reason. The player really only cares when the game is coming out. If the game gets put back because it's getting modified for the next new system, who knows how long until the game could be released to the public. In my opinion, the game should either be released for the system at the time it was designed for or create the game and then when the new system is available, re-release the game with modified controls like Mario Tennis did for the Wii. Bring it out for the system at the time(Gamecube) and then modify it with motion controls for the Wii. I know it takes a long time to create a game from the ground up, but it shows the effort the fans like to see. Kirby has needed a game like Wii Kirby for years and now he is finally getting back to his roots unless they decide to delay Kirby again and bring it out for the Wii-U but that shouldn't happen. It has a Fall Release date so it looks like Kirby is finally getting his chance to show everyone again, what a pink puff can do. I know he looks like a ghost on the Dream Land box but it has seemed like his career is ghost-like, being in a few Amazing games and so-so games. With Wii Kirby, it looks like he has risen from the dead and into a great looking game.
