Let's go E-Shopping

Today will be a day that will always be memorable for Americans. No, I'm not talking about D-Day. I'm talking about the E-shop update for 3DS available today in America. The first batch of E-Shop goodies are ready for download and Nintendo did it right by having a Mario game in the launch window. Super Mario Land was the first adventure on the Game Boy for Mario, trying to save Princess Daisy, not Toadstool. The game had you fight baddies on Land, in the Sea, and in the Air. For a game that was a "travel Mario" game, it doesn't disappoint. Radar Mission is another one of the launch E-shop games. When I first saw this game on the listed launch E-Shop games, it didn't click in my mind what game it was. Then I remembered that not only did I recall the game, I own it and its pretty fun. Two game modes are in the game. One is Battleship on a Game Boy and the other mode could be what Steel Diver used as a stepping stone to create their Sub combat game. The Music and "Officer in Command" pictures will entertain players for quite a while. The final old school re-release is a game called Alleyway, which Mario makes a minor cameo in. The game is similar to breakout and Mario drives the little spaceship like rod that deflects the ball at the bricks in the top half of the screen. The cameo reminds you of Mario being a Referee in tennis or boxing matches. I remember playing this game at the Dentist, trying to keep me calm during the fluoride treatment. Long live the good old days! It's not just old school games that get into the E-Shop. Two Free 3D games make their debut this week. Pokemon fans get a 3D Pokedex for the Unova region Pokemon. The ability to take AR pictures of your favorite Pokemon make this game a must have for Poke-fans. Did I mention it's FREE. Another Free game is Excitebike 3D. 3D racing and a track maker function give this re-make a new look and feel to it. For free what do you have to lose. I can answer that for you, Nothing. The update also has an Internet explorer so while you're on the go with your 3DS, you can look up how to beat that Zelda boss or what level a Pokemon evolves at. Mark Thursday off on your calendars for E-Shop updates. Summer looks like a great season for Nintendo fans!
